Images of Syrian refugees trying to escape the civil war in their country are projected on the streets of Paris at night. These images, which originally illustrated the media coverage of the recent Syrian diaspora, are reinvested of meaning when they pass to integrate the urban space of a European capital. As a kind of "phantasmagoria" these images of Syrians living in refugee camps or walking through roads and trails across Europe resurface into a social reality to where they would like to have access but they do not. This "phantasmagoric" presence dialogues in the film with excerpts from debates and statements also extracted from the French media coverage of these recent events.
