21 – 22 November 2015 at the Noise Market, Museum Siam

Our first screening last year consisted of 43 compelling shorts from 14 countries (half from Thailand the rest from, Burma, Australia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Slovakia, Japan, Colombia, Switzerland, France, Russia, Korea, Singapore and Brazil). With a completely open theme our program included animation, science fiction, experimental, documentary, drama, video art and work that defies conventional classification.

Bangkok Underground Cinema 2015 was organised by photographer Tada Hengsapkul, filmmaker Sam Freeman & venue owner Dhyan Ho, with support from Jam Café, Panda Records & Museum Siam.

ที่นั่นเขาได้บังเอิญเจอเพื่อนเก่าชาวอัฟกานิสถานที่อาศัยในค่ายอพยพที่สวิตเซอร์แลนด์
สรยศกลับมาเมืองไทยและเล่าเรื่องราวทริปดังกล่าวให้เพื่อนของเขาฟัง

Sorayos's short film was invited to screen in Switzerland. He went there and coincidentally met his Afghanistan filmmaker friend who became a refugee. Sorayos comes back to Thailand and tells the story of this Afghanistan filmmaker to his friend.

Made in conjunction with the Bangkok exhibition of found-trash artist Shinya Ishida, "Wonderful Trash" follows several different characters throughout the course of a day in Bangkok.  A boy newly arrived at a youth club tries to fit in with the others, a girl goes shopping for her grandmothers, and an artist tries to gather an audience for his upcoming exhibition.  Along the way, their paths cross and are brought together by... Wonderful Trash.

Cy (Bhumibat Thavornsiri) is a young man lives in Bangkok city. He has a traumatic brain injury by a car accident which causes him to get a very intense bad dream that changed his life forever.
